CNA Classes Online vs Classroom Classes

__________________________________________________________________________________________
“Learn how different

CNA classes online

are from that of a conventional class.”

Now that we have a convenient option of attending CNA classes online, we are able to juggle and complete various tasks effortlessly and in lesser duration. We can earn money, take lessons, write exams and even look for work online without venturing outside our homes or even moving a muscle. This leads us to the question if it is worth our while abandoning traditional learning styles.

With GSM technology it is possible to stream even high definition movies on your mobile phone. Doctors can download and analyze, at their home, X-rays that are lying in their clinic. You can watch surgeries being performed online and in real-time without buffering interruptions. So while it is possible to virtually create and supervise medical care, maybe it will qualify as clinical work experience in the near future. Only one thing that need to be concern about is you need to perform a practical work at local hospital or nursing home facility in order to pass your CNA certification.

Online learning is self paced and the student is technically on his own unless the course is webinar oriented. Without a classroom or a group it can get claustrophobic and with no competition in sight the student needs infinite thinking skills to get good grades. You need a lot of drive to compete against yourself.  Without a full time instructor or with an online tutor, interactive teaching strategies are not feasible as the lessons and exercises are written and not oral. What you are reading may not be the same as what the author was trying to say. The truth is the line between online and classroom education is getting finer by the day. Teachers can set up a webinar with students and transact assignments, lectures and notes just as you would in a physical class. Also as the student to teacher ratio can be a lot lower in an online class, the instructor can devise customized interactive teaching strategies, and thereby set the pace of learning for the entire class.

There may be some criticism in regard to the lack of social experience for those students who prefer to take online courses. This may be a valid point when we are talking about extra curricular activities on a college campus, such as sharing the joys of eating or going to movies. But in a classroom setting with high student teacher ratios, increased social interaction can cramp learning styles. Let us settle this dispute by saying it is a personality related issue. The social experience may encourage competition among students to excel in a classroom setting. Classroom learning can improve a student’s thinking skills and theoretical foundation as he or she does not want to knowingly lag behind other students.

Medical care is a delicate job. At the same time, registered nurses are always with their hands full. Paraprofessional personal support workers are doing a big service to the elderly by taking their CNA classes online and easing the burden in hospitals and private nursing homes.
